The Woodward Breakfast and Book Club will meet to discuss Chapter One of the Wright Brothers biography and community development, especially focused on the city of Pontiac, located on the north end of Woodward Avenue.

This second meeting will be Friday, September 2 from 6:30-7:30 a.m. at Niki’s Restaurant, 703 N Main St. Royal Oak. (Greek and American food). Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many people will attend.

More details about the Woodward Breakfast and Book Club (our first book will be the Wright Brothers biography by David McCullough), and what we hope to accomplish are in this blog post.

Notes from the first meeting are posted here. The next meeting will follow a similar format, with a focus on community development in Pontiac. The president of the Pontiac Downtown Business Association plans to attend.

We hope everyone enjoyed the Woodward Dream Cruise. According to this article, the epicenter of next year’s Cruise may move to Pontiac; good news for Pontiac!

If you can’t attend Friday’s meeting, please leave your ideas in the comments or send us an email. You don’t need to live in the metro Detroit area to participate. So far we have Woodward Breakfast & Book Club members from Arizona, New York and Germany. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us!
